Nigerian rapper and singer Panshak Henry Zamani, popularly known as Ice Prince, has explained the reason behind his noticeable weight loss, assuring fans that he is not battling any illness.
The Oleku crooner took to his official X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday to share his fitness journey, revealing that his decision to shed weight was a deliberate effort to improve his overall health.
According to Ice Prince, unhealthy lifestyle habits had led to excess belly fat, prompting concern from family and friends. Their intervention, he said, motivated him to embark on a fitness routine.
“God so good inna me life… A short story! I was literally about to explode… no sickness (Bless God), just bad habits and choices,” he wrote. “But then Chopstix and Dami said ‘let’s lose the belly Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated.”
The rapper disclosed that his longtime friend and producer Chopstix played a major role in his transformation, taking on the role of fitness trainer and visiting him daily after dinner to join him on evening walks.
“From that meeting, my brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner and we both walked my estate for an hour… our talks during those walks are priceless,” he added.
Ice Prince’s post comes amid growing public curiosity about his slimmer frame, with some fans speculating that he might be unwell. The artist’s clarification puts those rumors to rest, reaffirming his commitment to a healthier lifestyle.
In recent years, several Nigerian celebrities have undergone notable physical transformations. In 2022, actress Eniola Badmus made headlines after losing about 80 kilograms, while earlier in 2025, actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie drew public attention for her own dramatic weight loss.
For Ice Prince, however, the message is clear — his transformation is not about image or speculation but about discipline, health, and self-care.
