Speaking in a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the Maradona crooner addressed growing speculation that her relative absence from the spotlight was due to marriage. Niniola, however, firmly denied the claims, describing them as baseless.
“I don’t care whatever anyone does or says [regarding my personal life]. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married,” the 38-year-old singer stated.
There had been suggestions that Niniola was keeping her marital status private to avoid any impact on her bookings or public image, but the singer made it clear that she has nothing to hide.
Turning to her family life, Niniola also addressed questions about a possible music collaboration with her younger sister, Teni, noting that it would only happen when the timing and conditions are right.
“It has to happen at the right time and under the right circumstances,” she explained, adding that despite being siblings, music remains a professional endeavor.
“Music is business, and there’s no family in business,” she added.
Known for her energetic stage performances and distinct Afro-house sound, Niniola has been one of the key female voices in Nigerian music over the past decade. Her comments put to rest recent rumours and reaffirm her focus on artistry and authenticity rather than personal speculation.
