Afrobeats singer and entrepreneur Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr P, has shared a motivational message urging Nigerians to overcome fear and self-consciousness in the pursuit of success.
In a reflective post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, accompanied by recent photos with billionaire Aliko Dangote and a throwback image, Okoye highlighted the boldness with which wealthy individuals seize opportunities. He noted that while many people allow shame to hold them back, the rich act decisively without worrying about how they are perceived.
“Ever seen a rich man with shame? Never. Shame keeps the broke broke. The rich don’t care how they look, chasing opportunity; they just go for it. Everything you dream of sits on the far side of shame. Be shameless and go get it,” he wrote.
Okoye, one half of the iconic music duo P-Square, encouraged Nigerians to adopt a mindset of confidence and resilience, arguing that societal judgment often hinders progress. He stressed that success demands courage — and sometimes, a willingness to risk embarrassment.
Currently on tour, the singer added a lighthearted note to his message, writing,
“On tour at the moment shamelessly shaming my shame.”
Known for his outspoken views on personal growth and financial independence, Okoye’s latest post continues his pattern of sharing motivational insights with fans, blending his entertainment persona with lessons drawn from experience and ambition.
