“I did Crazy with Wizkid. I featured him on the song, and he featured me on one of his songs. I also did some background vocals for a couple of his other songs. We became genuine friends,” she said.

Seyi Shay praised Wizkid’s artistic brilliance, calling him a rare creative talent whose process left a lasting impression on her.

“He’s incredibly smart and talented. I’ve seen him record while eating, and that was mind-blowing to me. He’s like a magician. I’m heavily attracted to people of extraordinary talent. My spirit connects with people that are inhumanly talented,” she added.

Beyond the studio, the singer revealed that Wizkid often acted as a guide and mentor, offering insights into the complexities of fame and the music industry.

“He used to advise me a lot and tell me how people behave in this industry,” she shared.

Her comments also highlight the mutual respect and camaraderie that helped shape both artists’ creative journeys in Nigeria’s thriving music scene.
