Tetracore Energy Group Strengthens Board with Appointment of Onyema, Abubakar, and Oni to Drive Next Phase of Growth
In a strategic move to deepen its leadership capacity and advance its vision of powering Africa’s energy transformation, Tetracore Energy Group, a leading integrated midstream–downstream energy company, has announced the appointment of three distinguished professionals — Oscar N. Onyema, OON, Aisha Balewa Abubakar, and Dr. Ayodele Oni — to its Board of Directors.
They join existing board members Olakunle Williams (President/CEO), Kemi Williams, Okezie Okah-Avae, and Oladayo Williams, bringing diverse experience across finance, regulation, and energy law to strengthen the company’s strategic direction.
Over the years, Tetracore has established itself as a key player in Nigeria’s energy landscape, expanding natural gas infrastructure, trading and distributing gas nationwide, and emerging as the country’s largest auto gas distributor. The company has also pioneered hybrid renewable projects powering industries and communities — underscoring its commitment to sustainability and Africa’s clean energy transition.
According to Olakunle Williams, President and CEO of Tetracore Energy Group, the new appointments represent a defining step in Tetracore’s evolution.
“The energy future of Africa will be driven by strong institutions and visionary leadership,” Williams said. “Welcoming our new directors marks a pivotal moment for Tetracore as we continue to deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy solutions across the continent.”
