Grammy-winning Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has opened up about how his collaboration with rock legend Mick Jagger came to be — and he credits Naomi Campbell for making it happen.

Speaking during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show, Burna Boy revealed that the British supermodel was instrumental in connecting him with the Rolling Stones frontman.

“It’s actually crazy because it was initiated by Naomi Campbell, she made it happen. Before I knew it, I was talking to Mick Jagger, and it felt like we’d known each other forever,” Burna Boy said.

Their chemistry shines through on “Empty Chairs,” a track from Burna Boy’s latest album, No Sign of Weakness, released on July 11, 2025. The song fuses Burna’s signature Afrobeats sound with classic rock elements, marking one of the most unexpected and exciting cross-genre collaborations of the year.

The partnership underscores Burna Boy’s growing global influence and his ability to bridge diverse musical worlds — from Lagos to London, and now, to rock royalty.
