In a bold demonstration of its commitment to education, innovation, and youth empowerment, Sunbeth Global Concepts Ltd has launched the Sunbeth Excellence Partnership Programme (SEPP), a ₦10 million initiative designed to celebrate Nigeria’s brightest graduates while strengthening the link between academia and industry.

Sunbeth Global Concepts Ltd believes that Africa’s greatest resource lies not beneath the ground but within lecture halls and laboratories across the continent, where young minds are solving real problems and reimagining what is possible.

The Sunbeth Excellence Partnership Programme (SEPP) is a long-term initiative aimed at identifying, celebrating, and empowering exceptional students, turning academic brilliance into real-world impact. Through partnerships with 20 Nigerian universities, the programme connects top talent to Sunbeth’s global growth story, supporting innovation, research, and ideas that drive sustainable development.

Planned to roll out across 20 of Nigeria’s leading universities, SEPP recognises outstanding students in business-critical disciplines such as Engineering, Agriculture, Logistics, Energy, and Finance. The programme also offers mentorship, guaranteed job placements, and international industry exposure through Sunbeth’s growing network of global partners.

According to Olasunkanmi Owoyemi, Managing Director, Sunbeth Global Concepts Ltd, talent is the heartbeat of successful businesses and thriving economies because it creates value, inspires innovation, and drives growth. Speaking on the initiative, he said: “Yesterday, at Covenant University's 20th Convocation Ceremony, we proudly launched the Sunbeth Excellence Partnership Program (SEPP), a long-term commitment to identifying, celebrating, and empowering exceptional young minds across Nigeria's top universitiesAt Sunbeth, we will continue to celebrate and invest in talents that will not only improve but also power economies across Africa and beyond. Let's keep driving change together.”

The programme officially kicked off at Covenant University, where Miss Chidera Duru Emmanuella, a Chemical Engineering graduate with a 4.97 CGPA, emerged as the first SEPP Scholars Award recipient, receiving a ₦10 million grant for her groundbreaking research on bioethanol production from groundnut shells which stands out as an innovation rooted in science and sustainability.

Expressing her gratitude, Chidera Duru said: “I’m grateful, and it still feels unbelievable. I never really expected this. Chemical Engineering was a tough five-year course, and staying disciplined made all the difference.” She encouraged students to also stay focused and disciplined in their academic journey adding: “No matter how smart you are, you can fail if you’re not consistent. I had to put in the work, stay focused, and surround myself with the right people.” Looking ahead, she expressed her desire to work in a role that allows her to strategize, create, and ultimately help people.”

Following the Covenant University milestone, Sunbeth has extended its impact to its second partner institution, Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), where the company presented the second SEPPS Award to Miss Iradat Sanya, an accounting graduate with a CGPA of 4.98, during the university’s 13th Convocation Ceremony on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. At just 20 years old, Iradat is already ICAN certified, embodying the excellence and discipline SEPPS seeks to nurture.

Through SEPP, Sunbeth aims to build a steady pipeline of purpose-driven, high-performing graduates across institutions such as Covenant University, Afe Babalola University, the University of Ibadan, and the Ahamadu Bello University, Zaria (Abu Zaria). The initiative underscores the company’s long-term vision of aligning education with industry needs, driving innovation, and empowering Nigeria’s youth to lead the continent’s next phase of growth.
