Eke first rose to fame after winning Big Brother Naija Season 4 in 2019, and while many reality stars fade from public attention after the initial hype, she has managed to stay prominent.
In a recent interview with Odira Ndubuaku, the reality star attributed her staying power to a strong work ethic and a consistent drive to keep pushing forward.
“I am still relevant because I put in the work, I have never turned down any money,” she said.
Eke also revealed that her commitment to staying focused on her goals has played a major role in her success. She explained that unlike people who wake up without direction, she always has a clear plan for her day.
“Also, I mind my business a lot. I work hard. I wake up with purpose. Some people wake up, they don’t have things to do. But I always have a clear picture of what to do every day,” she added.
Staying Relevant Beyond Reality TV
Mercy Eke’s comments highlight a common challenge faced by reality TV stars: maintaining relevance once the show ends. But her dedication to work and her disciplined mindset appear to have helped her build a long-lasting presence in the industry.
