Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has shared a glimpse of his childhood musical tastes, revealing that his favourite Nigerian song growing up was “Oleku” by rapper Ice Prince featuring Brymo.

The 24-year-old soccer star, whose parents emigrated from Nigeria, discussed the song during a recent conversation with actor Daniel Kaluuya. “When I was young, my favorite Nigerian song is ‘Oleku’ by Ice Prince and Brymo. The song is a banger. Go listen to it,” Saka said.

This revelation comes shortly after Saka signed a new contract to remain at Arsenal until 2031, extending his previous deal which was set to expire in June 2027. He celebrated the occasion with a photo alongside his British-Nigerian fiancée Tolami Benson and their dogs.

Despite opting to represent England at international level rather than the Super Eagles of Nigeria, Saka has maintained strong ties to his Nigerian heritage. Over the years, he has been involved in philanthropic initiatives in Nigeria, reflecting his continued connection to the West African nation.
