Her remarks come against the backdrop of the ongoing social media feud between controversial online personality VeryDarkMan and influencer King Mitchy, a clash that has dominated online conversations and trended across platforms in recent days.
Taking to her Instagram page, Njoku expressed dismay at what she described as the overwhelming level of “noise and trivialities” competing for attention in the digital space. She questioned whether the current generation is gradually losing its ability to concentrate on issues that truly shape their future.
The actress challenged young Nigerians to pause and reflect on how they spend their time online, asking whether they are deliberately investing in personal growth and long-term goals or merely drifting through distractions with little or no lasting value.
“Does our generation truly have the capacity to focus on what’s important for their lives and their future? Or have we collectively chosen distraction over direction?” she wrote.
Njoku further noted that a brief visit online left her shocked at the intensity of engagement around issues she considers inconsequential, urging youths to be more intentional about what they consume and amplify on social media.
“Ask yourself: Are you intentionally focusing on what truly matters in your life? Or are you simply cruising through distractions that add nothing to your future?” she added.
Her comments have since sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing that social media culture often promotes fleeting controversies, while others argue that online engagement remains a reflection of broader societal interests.
