The emotional undercurrents of the Big Brother Naija Season 10 Reunion continued to surface as former housemate Kola, real name Kolapo Omotosho reflected on his turbulent experiences with love, both during and after his time in the reality show.

Speaking ahead of the reunion episode that premiered on Monday night, Kola admitted that his romantic journey has been far from smooth, describing it in very candid terms.

“Love has shown me shege.”

Despite the struggles, he expressed a sense of gratitude for having experienced love at all, noting that not everyone gets the chance to go through such emotional connections in their lifetime. He added that even painful experiences should be appreciated as part of life’s emotional growth.

“The funny thing is that some people die without never falling in love. So, the joy is that every time you fall in love, you should be happy that you are in love because not everyone gets to experience it,” he said.

Kola’s reflections come against the backdrop of his widely discussed storyline during the show, where he openly and persistently expressed affection for fellow housemate Dede, despite her not reciprocating his feelings.

After the show ended, Dede also addressed the situation, making it clear that her stance had not changed. She stated that even outside the house, her feelings would not have developed differently, citing incompatibility in terms of preference.

She explained that the Canada-based businessman was not her ideal partner, effectively closing the chapter on what had become one of the season’s most talked-about one-sided romantic arcs.
