Streamer alleges colleague was behind permanent TikTok ban, issues warning.

Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has alleged that fellow content creator Peller was behind the disruption of his TikTok account, shortly after the platform permanently banned him.

Carter made the allegation during an interview with Channels Television in Lagos on Thursday night, a day after TikTok reportedly took action against his account for violating its community guidelines.

The streamer, however, claimed that the ban was not simply the result of a violation of the platform's policies, alleging that Peller had hacked his account.

Carter further issued a warning to people close to Peller, suggesting that he would retaliate against someone within the latter's circle.

Speaking in Pidgin English, Carter said, “Na Peller hacked am. Me I don already tell am say I no dey chop people’s account but I go chop person wey dey around am.”

His comments add another layer to the growing tension between the two Nigerian internet personalities, whose activities and exchanges have continued to attract attention among social media users.

Carter's allegation, however, remains an accusation, and there was no independent evidence presented in the interview to establish that Peller was responsible for hacking or bringing down his TikTok account.

The controversy also comes at a time when TikTok creators and streamers increasingly depend on their social media accounts for audience engagement, live-streaming and commercial opportunities. A permanent ban can therefore have a significant impact on a creator's visibility and online activities.

Neither Peller's response nor any statement from TikTok confirming Carter's allegation that his account was hacked was included in the interview cited.
