Aminat Akanni |
Amina is the second wife of Moshood Mubo, an Ilorin indigene who lives with his first wife, Funmilayo and their two children at Church Street in Lagos Island.
A polygamist, Moshood married the suspect in 2010, and the union produced a baby boy named Yusuf. She was living with her son at Mosalashi Street at Alakara in Orile where her husband rented for her.
It was said that Moshood and Aminat’s relationship was plagued by verbal assaults, lies and fights. The suspect was said to be the aggressor in most cases.
A day to Sallah celebration, Aminat launched forth on a dangerous mission, kidnapped two children, belonging to her husband’s senior wife and later killed one of them.
Seven-year-old Lateef Mubo and four-year-old Nosifat Mubo had reportedly left their father’s home at 305, Church Street, Adeniji Adele to buy biscuit, when they disappeared.
The corpse of the younger child was later recovered by policemen from Orile Divisional Police Station, after the elder brother had been recovered from her.
The image maker in charge of the state police command, Kenneth Nwosu, confirmed the death of the four-year-old girl, adding that the suspect had been arrested.
It was gathered from police source that the suspect said her reason for her dastardly conduct was because her husband refused to buy her son cloth for Sallah but bought for his senior wife’s children.
