Netflix Unveils New The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Trailer
Netflix has released a new trailer for The Umbrella Academy that gives the first, in-depth look at what fans can expect in Season 3.
Netflix on Thursday released the first trailer for season 3 of the Umbrella Academy, one of its most watched shows. The trailer, full of superhero fighting, irreverent humor and some weird dancing from Klaus, shows the Umbrella Academy facing off against the Sparrow Academy. The show will be out on Netflix on June 22.
The action seems to follow directly from the end of season
2, when Luther, Allison, Klaus, Five, Diego and Vanya, after saving the day and
their skins in the 1960s, return to their present day to find their home, the
Umbrella Academy, is in fact the Sparrow Academy. Both their adoptive dad
(trainer? exploiter?) and their dead brother are alive and well.
We also see Viktor Hargreeves threatening a member of the
Sparrow Academy ("I've ended the world twice. And you? You're just meat
and spandex") before apparently teaming up with another. Played by Elliot
Page, the character was Vanya Hargreeves in seasons 1 and 2.

Page came out as transgender after season 2. It appears his
character will have a similar arc after Page announced Vanya's change to Viktor
via Twitter in March.
While The Umbrella Academy has been trading in time travel and all the reality-altering fun that comes with it since the comics. Season 3 comes at a time when time travel and alternate realities seem to be in fashion. If nothing else, season three promises more of the delightfully dysfunctional family trying to punch their way out of their problems.
