Spider-Man: Remastered PC Release Date Set for August 12
In a PlayStation Blog post, Insomniac Games have confirmed a
host of new PC-specific features coming to the game such as adjustable render
settings, ray-traced reflections, and much more to be announced later.
Insomniac is partnering with Nixxes to develop and fully
optimize both games for PC. Spider-Man: Remastered is confirmed for launch on
PC on August 12, 2022, while Miles Morales is scheduled for launch later in
Fall 2022. The series will be joining the likes of other great once-exclusive
titles on PC such as Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, and God of War.
Marvel’s Spider-Man’s PC release will also include the “The
City That Never Sleeps” DLC, which features three additional story chapters
with Peter Parker as the protagonist with additional missions and challenges.
The game comes out on PC on August 12, 2022, and is sure to be a big hit with
PC players.
Insomniac Games has also confirmed that as of May 15, 2022 –
Marvel’s Spider-Man series has sold through more than 33 million copies
globally, making it one of the biggest
first-party titles for Sony. PlayStation has been focusing on bringing more
first-party titles to PC and given the kind of success games like Death
Stranding, God of War, and especially Horizon Zero Dawn has seen on the
platform – SIE plans to bring a lot more
to the table soon.
The PC fanbase will likely embrace the series with open arms
as both games are technical powerhouses that can take advantage of powerful
hardware on PC. The more interesting challenge, however, is if the game’s
controls and swinging mechanics translate well to a mouse-and-keyboard setup.
