First City Monument Bank (FCMB) has enhanced its mobile banking application with a range of new features aimed at improving customer experience, expanding digital banking services and rewarding customer loyalty.
The latest update introduces a reward points system, mutual fund investment options, virtual card services and an in-app customer support feature, reinforcing the bank's drive to deepen customer engagement through its digital platform.
According to a statement issued by the bank, customers can now earn and redeem reward points whenever they carry out eligible transactions on the FCMB mobile app, adding an incentive to everyday banking activities.
The bank also unveiled its Regal Premium Lifestyle Subscription, a new offering that gives subscribers access to exclusive travel, dining and entertainment benefits. In addition, customers opening accounts with the bank will enjoy three months of free transfers as part of the onboarding package.
To broaden investment opportunities, FCMB has integrated mutual fund investment services into the application, allowing customers to invest directly from their mobile devices without the need for additional platforms or physical branch visits.
The upgraded app also features "Chat with Temi," an intelligent in-app customer support service designed to provide instant assistance, resolve customer complaints more quickly and improve overall service delivery.
Speaking on the rollout, FCMB's Divisional Head, Payments and Solutions, Oladipo Alabede, said the improvements reflect the bank's commitment to continuously evolving with customers' financial needs.
"At FCMB, we are constantly innovating to meet the evolving needs of our customers. These features are designed to provide convenience, reward loyalty, and empower our customers to do more with their finances, right from their mobile devices," Alabede said.
As part of the upgrade, the bank has simplified the process of upgrading customer accounts from Tier 1 to Tier 2, enabling users to access additional banking services entirely through the app without having to visit a physical branch.
Customers can also request and instantly activate virtual cards for secure online transactions, a feature expected to make digital payments faster and more convenient.
Commenting on the new capabilities, FCMB's Divisional Head, Personal Banking, Adetunji Lamidi, said the enhancements are in line with the bank's broader digital transformation agenda.
"These upgrades reflect our technology-driven strategy to build a smarter, more intuitive banking platform. By integrating intelligent support systems like Temi and enabling instant services such as virtual card activation, we are redefining convenience and accessibility in banking," Lamidi said.
The latest upgrade underscores FCMB's continued investment in technology-driven financial services as competition among Nigerian banks intensifies in the race to deliver seamless, customer-focused digital banking experiences.
