    UK-BASED GOSPEL SINGER, ADEGBOYEGA AKINGBOYE LAUNCHES ALBUM



    Sunday September 19, 2010 would forever remain a day to remember for London-based gospel act, Evangelist Adegboyega Akingboye when he launched his much awaited album, Semilogo last week in an elaborate party in Lagos.
    The event, which is being powered by Podium Magazine International and City People Entertainment Group was supposed to commence around 2pm but due to logistic reasons, it kicked off at 4pm with the arrival of London biggies, guys, society buffs, actors, actresses and while Nigerian gospel singers were there in their droves.
    Etal Halls on Kudirat Abiola Road, Oregun, Lagos was filled to the brim with lovers of Evangelist Adeboyega, who came simply to grasp what the gospel singer act is made of. Aduke Penkele and other notable and upcoming acts performed at the event.
    Among the top dignitaries that identified with the London gospel act were Titi Aboyade-Cole of Podium TV based in UK, and a few other Londoners, who came for the sake of Adegboyega.
    Speaking with First Society at the launching, Suppy, as Adegboyega is fondly called, said that he never believed the crowd that stormed the launching despite the fact that he is not based here in Nigeria. “This showed that Nigerians love good music that has God's messages.”
     The Ondo State-born act who has spent better part of his life in the UK further said that  'Semilogo' is a well nurtured and well packaged for daily consumption of people who cherish God's work and that it would be a test of time in the gospel music sector.
