National Co-ordinator of the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC), Otunba Gani Adams has fought and won many battles. The self-determination leader was part of the struggle for democracy in Nigeria and he has also been detained on many occasions in the cause of fighting for the emancipation of his people.
But, the Arigidi-Akoko, Ondo
State-born fundamentalist would have been defeated by an enemy, who appeared
like a friend with whom he was promoting the cause of his organization, save
for providence and divine intervention.
Sources revealed that Gani would
have been poisoned through his food and killed in the process, but thanks to
intuition and spiritual prowess with which he has been fortified against
attacks by the enemies.
We were reliably informed that
one of Gani's closest aides, with whom he has been to all parts of the country
and even many foreign countries, was reportedly given a substantial amount of
money to poison the food of the OPC leader and get rid of him.
The aide, we learnt undermined
the spiritual power of his boss, who sources said has escaped many car crashes
mysteriously, and laced his food with poison on the said day.
“As soon as they brought the food
to Gani's table, he felt something strange was happening. He withdrew from
eating it and sent for the aide, who has always been the one to put the food in
the car from Gani's house or sent for food in any nearby eatery and bring to Gani's
office.
“When the aide came, he became
jittery and confessed after much threat and drilling by Gani and his other
aides that he was actually paid millions of naira to eliminate his boss of many
years,” said our source.
What made the whole matter startling,
sources insisted was the fact that the culprit knew everything about the OPC
Leader, stood by him in his trying days and handled everything for him, 'and
now that things are getting better and Gani is consolidating on his popularity,
he decided to play Judas and give his boss away for a sum of money.'
Meanwhile, good news is coming
from the home of the fearless fighter as his wife, Erelu Mojisola is said to be
pregnant with the first child of her union to the OPC Leader after eight years
of marriage.
The trained lawyer reportedly
went against the wish of her family members to marry Gani, who was seen then as
a nobody and we were told that when she could not have baby for years, people
started taunting her and telling her that she shouldn't have gone for such a
man.
Moji reportedly remained
undaunted and stood by Gani in his trying days, and kept hope alive that she
would one day start bearing children for him and the dream would be realized
soon as the beautiful woman would put to bed any moment from now.
