We learnt that a clash between herdsmen and Ojoror-Uwheru community under Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State, has left two people dead.
We gathered that trouble started on Wednesday when cattle belonging to some herdsmen allegedly destroyed farmlands in the area. An argument ensued afterwards between the cattle men and the community which led to a fight between the two parties.
Our source said that two herdsmen were feared dead in the clash.
Meanwhile, we were informed that hundreds of people have fled the community for fear of a reprisal attack by the cattle men.
According to the residents in the community, the herdsmen had attacked the community after they were challenged for allowing their cattle destroy farms owned by the villagers.
However, security operatives are now on ground to forestall any breach of peace in the community.
