Ex-Speaker, Dimeji Bankole, Not Dead–Source Confirms

We've authoritatively confirmed that, contrary to rumours that went viral on some social media platforms, on Thursday morning, that Nigeria’s former House of Reps Speaker, Dimeji Bankole, was dead, the story is “nothing but false,” a top journalist, who is a close ally of Bankole’s family, and begged not to be mentioned, said

We were reliably informed that Bankole is presently in Abuja for some personal businesses.
The source said the ex-Speaker heard about the rumour but laughed it off.
“Yes, he heard about the death hoax but he laughed it off. It is just the handiwork of some idle mischief makers who are short of creative and better things to do,” the source said when contacted about the authenticity of the rumour. Bankole is said to be hale and hearty.
