RECOVER ARMS AND AMMUNITION/RESCUE OF VICTIM
Police Patrol
Teams attached to Area 'D' Mushin and Ajao Estate Division had responded to a
distress call at No.12 Theodore Okonkwo Street Ajao Estate on May 30, 2013. The
Police personnel had a shootout with the hoodlums that snatched a Kia Cerato Saloon
Car and abducted the owner at the aforesaid address. The hoodlums abandoned the
vehicle and escaped, while the owner was rescued from the boot. Items recovered
from the robbers are one pump action gun, one revolver pistol, four cartridges
and two iron cutlers. The case is under investigation at SCID Yaba.

ARRESTED
Policemen attached
to Ilupeju Division arrested one Gabriel Ogunsaweosas 'm' of 14 Akinsanya Street Palmgrove for kidnapping one Adeleke Abaja 'm' aged 5 years old of No.
51 Bode Thomas Palmgrove on 29th of May, 2013. The victim was kidnapped on
29/5/2013 at the Church of Nazarem Ilupeju where they were Celebrating
Children's Day Party. The child was rescued hale and hearty at about 0200hrs of
31/05/2013 and handed over to the parents. Serious effort is being made to
arrest the fleeing members of the gang. The matter is under investigation at
SCID Yaba.
HIT AND RUN FATAL
MOTOR ACCIDENT
Precisely on May
31, 2013 a yet to be identified vehicle
driven by an unknown person, hit an unidentified pedestrian male at Sanyo Bus
Stop along Apapa/Oshodi Express way Victim died on the spot and the corpse has
been deposited at Mainland Central Hospital Mortuary for autopsy. The case is
under investigation at Aguda Division.
POLICE PUT OUT PIPELINE
FIRE IN ISHERI-OSHUN
A pipeline fire
out Break occurred at Isheri-Oshun on June 1, 2013. The incident was allegedly
caused by wild wind that fell about four electric poles that ignited fire on
the pipe line. The fire was put out by combined team of policemen and fire
fighters mobilized to the scene. Value of property destroyed is yet to be
ascertained and the case is under investigation at Isheri-Oshun Division.
RRS POLICE ARREST
SUSPECTED ROBBERS
Policemen attached
to RRS 261 penultimate week arrested two suspected armed robbers namely Samila
Dahinu 'm' of no fixed address and Ibrahim Okunlade 'm' of No.5 Ijora Oloye
while robbing passersby on Eko Bridge, one Bajaj Motorcycle Reg. No. QT-475-EPE
used by the hoodlums to carry out their operation was recovered. The case is
under investigation at SCID Yaba.
