Pastor Stabs Pastor To Death In Osun Over ‘Glory Theft’

A former pastor of The Apostolic Church, TAC, Oke Afata, Gbongan in Osun State, simply identified as Pastor Adepoju, has stabbed his fellow man of God, Pastor Julius Olusoji Oguntoye, to death.
The accused committed the crime on Wednesday night at the official residence of the deceased in Okeola, Gbongan.
According to reports, Adepoju, who was retired from the church about 10 years ago, left his home in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he established his church, to visit Oguntoye. It was learnt that the deceased welcomed his friend into his house, not knowing that he had a knife in his suit.

The suspect was said to have brought out his knife and stabbed his colleague in the head, chest and stomach. He accused his friend of stealing his glory and that of his children. Oguntoye died thereafter.

It was gathered that Adepoju was the best man of Oguntoye when the latter got married several years ago.

Oguntoye, 48, was buried on Monday in Ede, Osun State amid tears. Some of his members described him as an easy going person who cannot hurt a fly. He was reportedly transferred to Gbongan five months ago from Ede, where he served for 12 years as Pastor.

We learnt that the suspect, is presently in police custody.
