Daughters Of FCT Director, Covenant University Students Kinapped

Daughters of a procurement officer in the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, Dr Samson Opaluwa were on Sunday kidnapped in their parents’ Abuja residence.

Ejura and Onekwu Opaluwa who are students of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State were taken away in the booth of a blue Honda car with number plate, HR 152 ABC by five gunmen.

According to their uncle, Mr. Amade Opaluwa, the abductors stormed their residence at 55 Associated Estate, Impresit Karmo at 5.00 p.m.

“They were five in number. They went straight to the room of my brother, Dr Samson Opaluwa, who is a director at the Federal Ministry of Works.

“And told him that they had come to kill him, and asked how much he was willing to pay for them to spare his life. “My brother begged for his life, but the heavily-armed men, who were not satisfied with the money they got, then went for his daughters who were in the living room. They put the girls in the boot of the car and left.”

He added that the gunmen called yesterday to demand N200 million ransom, which they later reduced to N150 million after several please.
