More People Killed In Kaduna Community As Government Imposes 24-hour Curfew

The Sanga Local Government Council of Kaduna State on Wednesday imposed a 24-hour curfew to check the wave of killings and rising tension in the area. The council chairman also said more people were killed in the council on Tuesday evening.
No fewer than 38 persons were killed on Monday night in Kabamu and Ankpong villages in Sanga during an attack by gunmen.
The attack is believed be more out of ethno-communal crisis in the area, which borders Plateau State, than by terrorists.
The Chairman of the council, Emmanuel Adamu, said in a statement in Kafanchan that the curfew was imposed to forestall further loss of lives and restore normalcy.
He said more people were killed 6 p.m. on Tuesday, leading to frayed nerves and increased tension.
Mr. Adamu urged the people of the area to remain calm as security operatives were on top of the situation.
