Ekiti Rep Gaults Fayose’s Attacks On Buhari

A member of the House of Representatives from Ekiti State, Dr. Ife Arowosoge, has accused Governor Ayo Fayose of blasphemy on the advert suggesting that the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), might die in office if elected.

He said Fayose’s twisting of the contents of the Holy Bible in the Book of Deuteronomy Chapter 30 Verse 19 for selfish political ends amounted to a blasphemy.

Arowosoge, who represents Ekiti South Federal Constituency 1, on Wednesday expressed disgust that Fayose could descend so low to wishing a political opponent dead in what is supposed to be a contest of ideas.

He also condemned some sympathisers of the Peoples Democratic Party for allegedly forging medical documents of the Ahmadu Bello University suggesting Buhari was managing prostrate cancer.

“Fayose should remember that he is not the giver of life because God is the giver of life and age does not dictate death. A one-year-old can die while a 120-year-old might be spared of death.

“The import of those adverts is that he (Fayose) is planning death and our party must not take it lightly.

“The PDP cannot dissociate itself from Fayose’s advert, the agents of the party had been spreading false information that Buhari has prostrate cancer and went to the extent of forging ABUTH documents and we thank God that ABUTH has denied issuing such a medical report.”

Arowosoge advised the governor to seek the face of God for forgiveness for quoting the Scriptures out of context, warning him to stop playing God, whom he said has the final say on the time of death of every mortal.

He also deplored the growing intolerance and attacks on opposition figures in Ekiti under Fayose revealing that many APC leaders and members had been attacked in their homes on account of their political beliefs.
