How Diamond Bank Executive Director Dies in His Sleep

An air of shock permeated the corridors outside the Lagos home of the Executive Director, Regional Businesses, Diamond Bank, Mr. Victor Ezenwoko, following his death in his sleep on last week Saturday morning. A source said Ezenwoko died in his sleep, while another said he slumped and died immediately at his Lagos home.
Friends and family mulled over what could have caused the death of the top banker, who was hale and hearty before he went to bed.
 The shock came early on Saturday morning when his family could not get him out of bed.
There was no report of Mr. Ezenwoko being ill before his sudden demise, and his death is causing concern over whether this could be another case of sudden death syndrome.
However, unconfirmed report linked the death to heart attack.
The deceased joined Diamond Bank in July 1997 as a start-up Branch Manager for Onitsha Bridgehead Branch and subsequently Branch Manager of Onitsha New Market Road Branch and Abuja Branch.
He was later promoted to Regional Manager East, and between 2002 and 2003, he functioned as Group Head, Large Commercial Businesses (Head Office) and Group Head, Commercial Banking Lagos Island.
He was appointed an Executive Director in 2010.
