    VIACOM Africa's Alex Okosi To Speak at NECLIVE 5

    Following his recent appointment as Executive Vice President and Managing Director for VIMN Africa, Alex Okosi has been announced as a key note speaker at the fifth edition of Nigeria’s biggest entertainment conference, Nigerian Entertainment Conference (#NECLive5) holding on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at Landmark Events Centre, Lagos.
    Alex Okosi joins a long list of big names who will be speaking at the event including ace comedian, Ali Baba, African Fuji maestro, K1 the Ultimate, Basketmouth, award-winning singer, Tiwa Savage, veteran broadcaster, Patrick Doyle, Managing Director City FM, Doja Allen, Toke Makinwa, Adesua Etomi, Adewale Ayuba, Daddy Showkey, Frank Donga, among many others.
    Okosi will be leading the business session of the conference, educating thousands of producers, managers, creative directors who will be in attendance. This year’s conference themed, "It's Time for Africa," #NECLive5 will provide industry stakeholders the formidable platform to discuss key issues bordering on the growing global adoption of African entertainment and how to effectively position industry practitioners and emerging African economies to take full advantage of it. 

    ‘It’s an honor to be speaking at this year’s NEC,’ said Alex Okosi, EVP for VIMN Africa, ‘Recognizing and creating opportunities to promote Africa globally via great content and initiatives has always been a passion of my mine and I am looking forward to sharing my experiences in launching MTV Base and growing VIMN Africa. I would like to demonstrate to the audience that this really is the time for Africans to make their mark in the entertainment industry.’

    An 18-year veteran of the entertainment industry on 3 continents, with a broad background in marketing, affiliate sales, events, strategy and management, Okosi achieved a personal and industry milestone when he launched MTV Base, MTV’s 100th channel internationally, and Africa’s first bespoke MTV channel on 22 February 2005. His tenacity and belief in Africa soon paid significant dividends. Now in its thirteenth year, VIMN Africa delivers more channels to Africa than any other international network. Its collective footprint reaches 52 territories and more than 100 million viewers.
