    Amusan Targets IAAF Worlds, Olympics After Asaba 2018 Conquest

    Hurdler Tobi Amusan has revealed her ambition, to make a strong showing at next year’s IAAF World Championships and the 2020 Olympics after she dusted the other women to land the 100m hurdles title of the 2018 African Athletics Championships in Asaba Delta State.

    Amusan confirmed her status as race favourite, when she posted 12.86seconds to win the gold. She maintained that it was a delight coming, after winning the Commonwealth Games gold last April.

    Competing here at home no doubt gave me an edge and the crowd welcome, was also a motivation for me. “My aim coming to Asaba 2018 was to win gold and it was a mission accomplish for me and now we are looking at the world champions and the Olympics “ I’M not focusing on the record yet not that I don’t mind putting my name in the records books.
