FCMB Promotes Entrepreneurship Programme Among NYSC Members

First City Monument Bank Limited has sponsored a capacity building programme for almost 1,000 members of the National Youth Service Corps in Abuja.
The bank in a statement said this was part of its commitment towards the empowerment of youths in entrepreneurship.
It added that the programme, tagged ‘Youth entrepreneurship and empowerment programme’, was in partnership with Activate Success Foundation.

FCMB said the programme provided a platform for the corps members to look inward, develop and deploy their business skills through practical training facilitated by experts and successful business owners.
According to the statement, the development will go a long way to empower them with the requisite resources to start and grow successful businesses during and after their service year, in order to become financially independent and contribute significantly to national development.

The Executive Director, Retail Banking, FCMB, Mr Olu Akanmu, said the initiative was in line with the commitment of the bank to provide multiple opportunities that would inspire and enable youths to be actively engaged and eventually become successful business owners.
According to him, the bank has shown so much to entrepreneurs using different platforms and programmes.
Citing the FCMB Flexx account, Akanmu said it would empower Nigerian youths with the entrepreneurial and employability skills they needed to set up their businesses from their campuses.
