Spotify To Introduce "Mute And Block" Options

Tired of seeing some artists on your Spotify? Well, you can now breathe.

Spotify is set to introduce a mute and block feature which will allow you to steer clear of all the artists you don’t want to see anymore.

Already, the Verge reports that Spotify is currently testing the “don’t play this artist” mute or block feature’s functionality in its iOS app.

It even gets better. This feature not only allows you to block the artist from your playlist, chart list, but the same also applies to the radio stations on Spotify.

Back in 2017, the music streaming app had considered adding this option but “after serious consideration” backtracked.

With the rising calls for the removal of RKelly’s songs from the streaming network due to the #SurvivingRKelly docuseries which showed his alleged sexual victims talk about his child sex and sex cults, Spotify gave in and his songs were removed from their playlists bit not from their service.
