In a statement released to the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the Umuahia, Abia State-based brewer said its attention has been drawn to several unauthorized recent online publications on commencement of full operations by the company.
The statement read as follows: “The attention of Golden Guinea Breweries Plc has been drawn to several unauthorized recent online publications on commencement of full operations of the company”
The statement further stated that the company has not resumed operation as reported by some media outlets including this publication. However, it said it stands by its original statement to resume by the second quarter of 2019
“The company stands by the disclosure and publication issued to the public via the issuer’s portal on resuming operations before the end of the second quarter of 2019,” the statement said.
