Cardi B caught everyone's attention when she hit the Met Gala red carpet on Monday night.
She takes home the award for most massive train at the 2019 Met Gala. The rapper shut down the red carpet in a huge quilted and feathered gown by Thom Browne that required its own team of handlers to make its way down the red carpet.
The rapper's look made for a truly dramatic photo op going up the iconic Met Gala staircase. But in order to get there, she needed an entourage of about 10 people to guide the LEWK along the red carpet.
The 26-year-old rapper walked the Met Gala red carpet in a heavy red gown with a large train that required several men to carry around.
The oxblood gown was made by Thom Browne. It was made from tulle and silk organza and filled with down. The hand-embroidered dress was also decorated with 30,000 feathers. It took 35 people more than 2,000 hours to create.
Speaking about his creation, Thom Browne told Vogue: "'I designed this dress for Cardi specifically because she has the ultimate beauty in a woman’s body, and that is what the dress is about for me: taking advantage of that beauty."
The moment was reminiscent to Rihanna's iconic 2015 Met Gala look designed by Guo Pei. The insanely massive and ornate gown was perfect for the exhibit's "China: Through the Looking Glass" theme that year. Sadly, Bad Gal Riri didn't make an attendance at this year's "Camp: Notes on Fashion" themed gala.
Of course, the internet had its own comparisons to Cardi's Camp-themed Met Gala look including a duvet cover and red blood cells.
