    Gokada Visits National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Donates Medical Supplies

    GOKADA, Nigeria’s on-demand bike-hailing startup paid a visit to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi in commemoration of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations.

    The firm donated medical supplies to improve upon the status of the disabled individuals.
    The on-demand bike-hailing startup recently secured $5.3 million in a Series A funding led by Rise Capital, a venture capital firm with interest in tech-driven startups in emerging markets. The round is intended to support the company’s vision as it seeks to expand its operations and push for growth.

    Gokada is an on-demand transportation company headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Customers can order a motorbike ride through the company’s website, or by using the company’s geo-location-based smartphone Gokada mobile app. The company recently celebrated its first year in business with the launch of its brand new office in Ilupeju, Lagos set to house a state-of-the-art Driver Training School to train and verify up to 500 drivers at a time.
