The coronavirus pandemic has spread to Akwa Ibom state in what appears to be its inexorable rampage across Nigeria.
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reported five new cases in the state, east of the country, on Wednesday night as the national tally reached 174.
Lagos has 9 new cases, FCT Abuja 7, Kaduna and Bauchi State 1 each.
“As at 08:00 pm 1st April there are 174 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Nine have been discharged with two deaths”, NCDC said.
