    Nigeria Recorded 381 Cases of COVID-19, Lagos, Kano Gets 183, 55 Respectively

    Nigeria's COVID-19 cases figure is on the rise again as 381 new infections were announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday night. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 3526

    The latest figure indicates 381 new cases with the top five tallies from Lagos, Kano, Jigawa,   Zamfara and Bauchi with 183, 55, 44, 19 and 19 cases respectively.

    The agency on Thursday said new cases of coronavirus were reported in 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory. All the reporting states already have at least a case of the virus.

    The cases were recorded in Lagos, Kano, Jigawa, Zamfara, Bauchi, Katsina, Borno, Kwara, Kaduna, Gombe, Ogun, Sokoto, Oyo, Rivers, Niger, Akwa Ibom, Enugu and Plateau.
    As of the time of reporting, 34 states and the FCT have recorded at least a case of the disease.

    The 381 new cases are reported as follows:
    183-Lagos, 55-Kano, 44-Jigawa, 19-Zamfara, 19-Bauchi, 11-Katsina, 9-Borno, 8-Kwara, 7-Kaduna, 6-Gombe, 5-Ogun, 4-Sokoto, 3-Oyo, 3-Rivers, 2-Niger, 1-Akwa Ibom, 1-Enugu and 1-Plateau.

    On the 7th of May 2020, 381 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
    No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
    Till date, 3526 cases have been confirmed, 601 cases have been discharged and 107 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory
