    BET Awards 2020: Burna Boy, Wizkid, Michael B. Jordan, Others Emerge Winners

    The 2020 BET Awards, honoring the best in music, movies, TV and more.
    The show was hosted by comedian and actress Amanda Seales, with performances from stars like Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Nas, Usher, YG, and many more.

    Nigerian afro-fusion artiste, Burna Boy has added the 2020 BET award for best international act to his portfolio.
    Burna Boy, emerged the winner of the BET Award for Best International Act. It is the second consecutive win for the artiste.

    Ayodeji ‘Wizkid’ Balogun, Nigerian music star was among the big winners of the night, snagging the ‘Her Award’ category for his feature in Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl.

    Divine ‘Rema’ Ikubor, Mavin Records singer, has lost out in his category to Sha Sha, a Zimbabwean singer at the 2020 BET Awards.
    Rema was nominated for Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act alongside Sha Sha, Celeste, Young T & Bugsey, Hatik and Stacy.

    Sha Sha, born, Charmaine Mapimbiro, was announced winner of Viewer’s Choice: Best New International Act at the 20th BET Awards held virtually for the first time from Los Angeles on Sunday due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

    Beyoncé was honored with the annual Humanitarian Award in recognition of her ongoing philanthropic efforts, and Wayne Brady paid tribute to the late Little Richard.

    Roddy Ricch took home the award for Album of the Year, Megan Thee Stallion was crowned Best Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Lizzo was honored with the Best Female R&B/Pop Artist accolade.

    Drake lead this year’s pool with six nominations, though he took home just one. Megan Thee Stallion, who received five nods, took home two trophies. And Blue Ivy Carter, at age 8, won her very first BET Award with her mom Beyonce.
