Nigeria on Thursday June 11, recorded 681 new COVID-19 cases. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov.
The new cases brought the nation’s confirmed COVID-19 infection cases to 14,554
Five fatalities were recorded from the virus on Thursday bringing the total number of confirmed deaths from the virus to 387. NCDC further revealed that a total of 4,494 patients have been discharged so far.
The public health agency in a tweet Thursday night said the new cases were reported in 17 states. All the reporting states already had at least a case of the virus.
Announcing this Thursday, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said Lagos recorded the highest number of the virus with 345 new cases, Rivers had 51 cases, Ogun with 48 cases and Gombe with 47 cases.
Oyo-36, Imo-31, Delta-28, Kano-23, Bauchi-18, Edo-12, Katsina-12, Kaduna-9, Anambra-7, Jigawa-5, Kebbi-4, Ondo-4 and Nasarawa-1.
There was an increase in the number of infections reported on Thursday [681] compared to what was reported [409] on Wednesday.

No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
