    Nigeria Records 10 Deaths 239 New COVID-19 Cases

    As Nigeria continues its fight against novel coronavirus infections, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 239 new cases in 14 states and Federal Capital Territory.
    The new COVID-19 update in country have raised the nationwide tally to 54,247

    In the last 24 hours, ten deaths were recorded from the virus, and 372 patients were discharged from isolation centers across the country.

    According to the daily report released by NCDC, Plateau reported the highest number of cases of the virus with 116 infections, FCT had 33, Lagos had 19 and Ekiti confirmed 12 cases.

    Other states with new cases include: Kaduna-11, Ogun-11, Ebonyi-8, Benue-7, Abia-5, Delta-5, Ondo-4, Edo-3, Imo-2, Osun-2 and Bauchi-1.

    Since the beginning of the outbreak in Nigeria in February, more than 403,347 samples have been tested by NCDC, out of which 54,247 were positive.

    According to the health agency, on the 1st of September 2020, 239 new confirmed cases and 10 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
    Till date, 54,247 cases have been confirmed, 42,010 cases have been discharged and 1,023 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
