With the new confirmed cases on Tuesday, a total of 58,647 COVID-19 infections have now been recorded across the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this via its official twitter page.
42 patients were discharged from isolation centers across the country.
Lagos reported 74 cases of the new virus confirmed on Tuesday, followed by Plateau and Rivers with 25 cases each, while Gombe and FCT recorded 19 cases each.
Other states with new cases include: Osun-10, Kaduna-5, Borno-3, Ogun-2, Katsina-2, Nasarawa-1, Bayelsa-1 and Edo-1.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in Nigeria in February, more than 509,555 samples have been tested by NCDC, out of which 58,647 were positive.
According to the NCDC, on the 29th of September 2020, 187 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 58,647 cases have been confirmed, 49,937 cases have been discharged and 1,111 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
