    Nigeria Records 2 Deaths, 131 New COVID-19 Cases

    Nigeria on Thursday recorded additional 131 cases of coronavirus in 17 states and the Federal Capital Territory, raising the country’s total infections to 56,735.

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known via its official Twitter handle.

    NCDC also said that two patients have been confirmed dead from the virus in the country, while 220 patients were discharged after testing negative twice from the disease 

    According to a post by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Twitter, Lagos led in the number of cases  with 45 new infections, 17 cases each in Kaduna and Plateau, 16 in FCT, and 6 cases each in Delta and Niger.

    Others states with COVID-19 cases are: Kwara-5, Oyo-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Cross River-2, Ekiti-2, Enugu-2, Osun-2, Sokoto-2, Bauchi-1, Ebonyi-1, Katsina-1, Rivers-1

    According to NCDC on the 17th of September 2020, 131 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

    Till date, 56,735 cases have been confirmed, 48,092 cases have been discharged and 1093 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
