    COVID-19: Nigeria Records 150 New Infections

    As the nation continues its fight against novel coronavirus, Nigeria on Thursday recorded 150 new cases of COVID-19 and 2 people were reportedly dead from the virus infections in 9 states. 

    With the latest update by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the total tally of infected people in the country rose to 62,521.

    NCDC also announced the discharged of 154 patients from isolation centers across the country after tested negative to coronavirus.

    Within a 24 hour period, Lagos, a major financial centre for all of Africa and the economic hub of Nigeria saw 89 new coronavirus cases, while Rivers, Ogun, Bayelsa and Kaduna reported 19, 11, 9 and 8 cases respectively.

    Other states with new virus infections as follows: Plateau had 8 infections, Taraba had 3 cases, Osun had 2 cases and Delta had 1 case.

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 620,758 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    NCDC on the 29th of October 2020, reported that 150 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

    Till date, 62,521 cases have been confirmed, 58,249 cases have been discharged and 1,141 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
