    Nigeria Records 111 New COVID-19 Cases, as Tally Exceeds 60,000

    According to the latest reports released on Saturday by Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 111 new COVID-19 cases has been recorded in 10 states and the Federal  Capital Territory.

    The new update brings the tally of infected people in the country to 60,103.

    The health agency also noted that 97 patients have recovered and have been discharged in the last 24 hours, while the country reported 2 more coronavirus-related deaths.

    Plateau tops the chart with 32 new cases of the virus infections followed by Lagos, FCT and Osun with 23, 15 and 11 cases respectively.

    Other states with new virus infections cases as follows: Ogun-9, Oyo-6, Imo-4, Bauchi-3, Kaduna-3, Yobe-3 and Rivers-2.

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 551,362 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    According to the health agency on the 10th of October 2020, 111 new confirmed cases and 2 deaths were recorded in Nigeria

    Till date, 60,103 cases have been confirmed, 51,711 cases have been discharged and 1,115 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
