Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure on Thursday night via it officially Twitter handle.
The total figure of patients recovered from the virus infections and discharged after tested negative to the virus increased from 50,358 to 50,452. While the death toll from coronavirus in the country remains 1,112.
According to the data released by NCDC, Lagos led with 81 cases of the virus infections, while Rivers came second with 21 cases, and FCT in the third position with 11
Other state with new cases of the virus infections: Ogun-8, Kaduna-7, Oyo-6, Akwa Ibom-5, Osun-3, Katsina-3, Edo-2, Ebonyi-2, Nasarawa-2, Plateau-1 and Kano-1.
According to the health agency, on the 1st of October 2020, 153 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 59,001 cases have been confirmed, 50,452 cases have been discharged and 1112 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Also, NCDC said, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
