Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure on Wednesday night via it officially Twitter handle.
NCDC also announced that 95 patients recovered from the virus infections and discharged after tested negative to the virus. While zero death were recorded from coronavirus on Wednesday.
According to the data released by NCDC, Lagos led with 84 cases of the virus infections, while Rivers came second with 31 cases, and Kaduna in the third position with 12.
10 cases of the virus were found in Osun, FCT had 7 cases, Oyo reported 6 cases, Ogun had 3 cases and Kwara confirmed 2.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has conducted about 543,415 tests since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
According to the health agency, on the 7th of October 2020, 155 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
Till date, 59,738 cases have been confirmed, 51,403 cases have been discharged and 1 113 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
