The country on Saturday night records 113 new COVID-19 cases with 4 coronavirus-related deaths recorded and 4,253 COVID-19 patients have recovered and discharged from isolation centers.
Nigeria Centre For Disease Control(NCDC) announced this via it official Twitter handle.
The newly recorded COVID-19 cases were reported across 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory. Lagos reported the highest number of cases with 37 infections, while Kaduna confirmed 16 cases, Ogun and Plateau reported 11 cases each.
Others state with new cases as follows: Taraba-8, Rivers-7, FCT-6, Enugu-4, Niger-4, Edo-3, Delta-2, Imo-2, Benue-1 and Kano-1.
Nigeria has tested 576,184 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.
According to the health agency on the 17th of October 2020, 113 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 61,307 cases have been confirmed, 56,557 cases have been discharged and 1,123 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Our discharges today include 4,161 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with new case management guidelines.
