    COVID-19 Cases Hit 66,383 as Nigeria Records 155 New Infections

    The number of coronavirus infections in Nigeria have continued to rise as confirmed cases of COVID-19 in country hit 66,383 after 155 people tested positive in 24 hours. Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure on Sunday via it officially Twitter handle.

    192 patients recovered from the virus infections and discharged after tested negative to the virus, while one patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the past 24 hours.

    According to the data released by NCDC, the  new infections are reported from 11 states and Federal Capital Territory. Lagos led with 60 cases of the virus infections, while Kastina came second with 37 infections, and Kaduna state in the third position with 35.

    Other state with new cases of the virus infections: FCT-6, Ogun-4, Edo-3, Kwara-3, Rivers-2, Kano-2, Jigawa-1, Oyo-1 and Taraba-1.

    Nigeria has so far tested 743,298 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

    According to the health agency on the 22nd of November 2020, 155 new confirmed cases and 1 death was recorded in Nigeria

    Till date, 66,383 cases have been confirmed, 62,076 cases have been discharged and 1,167 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
