    COVID-19: Nigeria Records 4 Deaths, 137 New Infections

    The tally of the novel coronavirus infections in Nigeria have continued to slowdown as confirmed COVID-19 infections in nation hit 63,173, after 137 people tested positive in 24 hours. 

    The figure of patients recovered from the virus infections and discharged after tested negative to the virus increased by 306. 

    While the death toll from coronavirus in the country rose to 1,151 with 4 additional deaths. 

    Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the disclosure on Tuesday via it officially Twitter handle.

    According to the data released by NCDC, the 137 new cases are reported from 15 states and Federal Capital Territory. 

    Lagos led with 60 cases of the virus infections, while Abia came second with 21 cases, and FCT in the third position with 18.

    Other state with new cases of the virus infections: Rivers-13, Kaduna-5, Oyo-4, Edo-3, Delta-2, Imo-2, Kano-2, Ogun-2, Bauchi-1, Gombe-1, Nasarawa-1, Niger-1 and Osun-1

    Nigeria has so far tested 635,410 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced on 27 February 2020.

    On the 3rd of November 2020, 137 new confirmed cases and 4 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.

    Till date, 63,173 cases have been confirmed, 59,634 cases have been discharged and 1,151 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
