    Nigeria: COVID-19 Statistics Stood at 65,457 with 152 New Infections

    Coronavirus infections statistics in Nigeria stands at 65,457 with 152 new infections, while number of discharged and deaths stood at 61,337 and 1,163 respectively.

    The new infections were spread across 11 states and Federal Capital Territory, the top three being Lagos, Oyo and FCT with 61, 39 and 13 respectively.

    Nigerian Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday disclosed this via its verified twitter handle.

    Other states’ figures were as follows: Yobe-10, Bauchi-6, Kaduna-5, Kano-4, Kwara-4, Plateau-4, Edo-2, Ogun-2 and Rivers-2.

    NCDC reported that 175 persons were discharged from isolation centers across the country after tested negative to the virus. While no patients died of coronavirus-related complications in the past 24 hours

    Nigeria has so far tested 717,942 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    In summary, on the 17th of November 2020,152 new confirmed cases were recorded in Nigeria.
    Till date, 65,457 cases have been confirmed, 61,337 cases have been discharged and 1,163 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
