    Nigeria Records 143 New COVID-19 Infections

    Nigeria has recorded 143 new Coronavirus infections (COVID-19) with no additional COVID-19 related death in 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has disclosed.

    With the new update, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in the nation rose to 65,982.

    According to the centre, 209 COVID-19 patients who have recovered from the disease have been discharged from isolation centres across the country in the past 24 hours.

    The NCDC stated that Lagos, the epicentre of the disease in the country, led with 70 new infections, followed by Kaduna with 25 and FCT  with 22 infections.

    Other states with new infections are Ogun-11, Plateau-4, Oyo-4, Ekiti-3, Osun-2, Edo-1 and Kano-1.

    According to NCDC, Nigeria has so far tested 728,128 people since the first confirmed case of COVID-19 was recorded on Feb. 27, 2020.

    In summary, on the 20th of November 2020, 143 new confirmed cases and no death were recorded in Nigeria.

    Till date, 65,982 cases have been confirmed, 61,782 cases have been discharged and 1,165 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
