    Nigeria Records 198 New COVID-19 Infections

    As the pandemic continues to ravage throughout the world,  Nigeria on Wedday recorded  198 new COVID-19 infections with no coronavirus related death in 13 states and Federal Capital Territory. 

    According to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, via its verified Twitter handle @NCDCgov., the new update brings the tally of infected people in the country to 66,805

    NCDC also announced the discharge of 182 patients from isolation centers across the country.

    53 new infections were recorded in Abuja, the Federal  Capital Territory while Lagos, Ogun and Akwa Ibom recorded 48, 40 and 20 respectively.

    Other states with new infections are Bauchi-9, Plateau-8, Kaduna-5, Kano-4, Benue-3, Jigawa-3, Nasarawa-3, Edo-1 and Kwara-1.

    Nigeria has so far tested 749,136 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.

    In summary, On the 25th of November 2020, 198 new confirmed infections were recorded in Nigeria

    Till date, 66,805 cases have been confirmed, 62,493 cases have been discharged and 1,169  deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
